Casas del XVI, a small hotel collection I represent in Santo Domingo’s Colonial City, aligns very well with my business strategy of only selecting clients with a unique story to tell. The private properties stands out from the crowd of other luxury hotels in the Dominican Republic because visitors can actually step back in time and stay in private homes once used by Spanish conquistadors.

Our client’s story is quite novel. One private home has actual maps used by Spanish explorers. Another private home is a former Spanish convent and guests wake up to the chimes of a nearby church. And, the hotel collection has just started renovation for the home once used by the world-renowned fashion designer, Oscar de La Renta.

The private homes have been thoroughly renovated throughout the years to provide savvy travelers with all the modern amenities of a luxury boutique hotel. Our client takes customer service to another level. When visitors stay at the property, they feel like they are staying in someone’s home with all the personal attention they receive during their stay.
